The Food Industry's Secrets Behind "Visual Appeal"

When egg yolks are masked with industrial dyes, salmon scales stained with chemical colorants, and meat kept artificially red with preservatives—these food industry secrets cloaked in "visual appeal" are undermining consumer trust at the expense of health. Scientific studies confirm that synthetic colorants and preservatives are hidden culprits behind allergies, potentially causing liver and kidney damage or even cancer risks, while their residues infiltrate waterways via the food chain, triggering a domino effect of global ecological collapse.
Solution
To tackle these challenges, we design microbial organisms, using cell factories to replace traditional "agricultural extraction and chemical synthesis." Each year, tens of thousands of tons of antibiotics are poured into livestock farms, fueling the rise of superbugs and quietly setting the stage for a global public health crisis. The World Health Organization (WHO) has sounded the alarm: by 2050, antimicrobial resistance is projected to become the leading global health threat, claiming over 10 million lives annually. Even more concerning, antibiotic residues are seeping into ecosystems through water cycles, contaminating soil and water sources while steadily eroding human immune defenses.

Solution
